Sequence
I meditated on the fact that a smile could be conceived as a vacuum within a larger picture – it absorbs everything around it and comes out on top. I wanted to capture the process and theory in which every time and place has a vacuum; a specific object, or feeling, or expression – which ultimately absorbs or controls the environment around it.
The sequence project, ultimately, was based on telling a story through the specific order in which a sequence of images was placed.
