An overgrown, post-apocalyptic epoch with a tinge of Cigarette Ahegao, a symbolic gesture of the contemporary internet.
The UwU Gallery, in-universe, is the exploration of three 20-something genetically engineered cat people, who've lived for decades, through their own apocalypse. Regardless, they're stuck in the past, making a gallery for no-one, and work that connects them to their nostalgia -- our contemporary world.
It's an exhibition of blindness towards earthly surroundings. A death knell of awareness. The epitome of tunnel-vision.
Like an expression of guilt, the gallery consumes the sublime nature of self-expression, of overt sexualization, of culture.
It's a speculative future, one that considers the contemporary in-joke of everyone being lobotomized as a natural,
unavoidable fact,
rather than fiction....
unavoidable fact,

My contributions to the work involved the entire animated, holographic cat girl; the creation, curation, and layout of the digital gallery; "photography" of our installed works; and the rendering of the videos.
