Being "silly" involves a sort of dissolution of self. To me, it's about both the medium AND the content. Electronic mediums, inherently, have a more "casual" tone. Growing up on internet randomness and digital storytelling, "silliness" invokes the idea of the meaning behind an artwork being less provocative or necessary. Sometimes you just want to tell a story.
